All about staying baked

How It All Began

It all started when an early morning swim became khobz (bread in Moroccan darija) run for the local communities near Taghazout, Morocco, during COVID. I was traveling and living in Morocco at that time when I stumbled upon a traditional bakery and got exposed to the beauty of making bread.

Coming back home to Singapore after a year in Morocco, I've long felt that the bread we buy from supermarkets and local bakeries were too light-weight with added ingredients that requires Google to know what they are, when really only flour, water, salt and yeast should go into any real, proper, non-enriched bread. I wanted to serve bread that are full power handmade with legit real ingredients meant for bread without any chemicals, preservatives or enhancers. Bread that nourishes the body and the soul.

With this goal in mind,  I started making bread at home for my parents and now for local community I live with. Stay baked is all about handmade, homemade, real and proper bread. Although stay baked alludes to the culture of marijuana influence, making bread has encompassed life lessons for me, especially when kneading dough. I find myself thinking, if bread is life, aren't we all baking our own bread of life everyday?! Yes!! Stay baked!!!
